Meet Vee
Dr. Varaidzo (Vee) Kativhu is a trailblazing advocate for education, youth empowerment, and gender equality. With a platform reaching over 600,000 followers across Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, Vee uses her voice to champion equal opportunities and amplify youth voices in education policy, blending authenticity with her unique British-Zimbabwean perspective.
An Oxford and Harvard graduate, Vee is currently pursuing a PhD in Education Leadership at Claremont Graduate University. She is also the youngest recipient of an honorary doctorate from Bradford University and the author of EMPOWERED: Live Your Life With Passion and Purpose, a self-help guide for young people navigating their aspirations.
As the Founder and Director of Empowered By Vee (CIO), Vee widens access to higher education for young people in England and Wales. Her work extends globally, with roles as a United Nations Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals and Youth Champion for the Global Partnership for Education.
At just 26 years old, Vee’s accolades include being named one of BBC’s 100 Influential Women of 2023, alongside Michelle Obama, receiving the Diana Legacy Award from Prince William and Prince Harry, and being recognised with the Rare Rising Star Award by UK Parliament.
Vee co-founded The Empowerment Brunch with her sister, Fadzie, to inspire and equip women with the tools to thrive in leadership, personal branding, and advocacy. Whether working with high-level brands like Procter & Gamble or championing global education reform, Vee is dedicated to turning vision into action and empowering others to do the same.
